Define Neo-trad

Rather than post inspiring pictures of things mediaeval Jeffrey is celebrating "Get It Out Of Your System Day". (Note to self: try not to annoy Jeffrey.)

He quotes the definition of a neo-con as "a liberal who's been mugged by reality". This set me wondering what the definition of a neo-trad is. How about: "a liberal Catholic who was mugged by John Paul II"?

  3. You sure about this? ISTM that a neo-trad is more likely to be "a conservative Catholic who was mugged by John Paul II"?

  4. I was using neo-trad to suggest the sort of JP2 papalist who, while sounding trad, still picks and mixes, and still innovates. Let me think it through a bit more. In the meantime, how about: a neo-trad is a Whig; a trad is a Tory.
