I should just add, though the 1867 Ordo doesn't, that Friday is a day of Abstinence. I wonder whether the compositor was married to somebody called Dolores?

I think the key is in the entry for March 6th which states all days of Lent are fast days except Sundays which are abstinence. Fast as used by Dolores' husband meant fast and abstinence for each day of Lent except the Sundays where food could be eaten without limit of quantity but quality would exclude flesh meats and milk meats.
