Musings about Tradition in the Catholic Church in England and Wales, and an attempt to collect essays and articles which would appear in a Catholic press which exercised critical solidarity with the Hierarchy.
Yes Ttony, it gave me a chuckle, but I must confess that I'm convinced that Hugh Fernly Whatsisname is right about about free range chickens being good to eat and battery cooped chickens being high in fats and tasteless when eaten. I speak as one who bought six unsexed day-old chicks in Wakefield market when I was a boy. I think I paid sixpence for them. I know we used them as Christmas presents around the family when they had grown into beautiful Buff-Rock cockerels. Big birds they were and delicious. I learned how to kill and dress poultry on those birds. I also took up bee-keeping!JARay
