They do things differently there. I have started to play with the archives of photos from Life magazine, now available from Google. This is Mass in Westminster Cathedral in 1939.

I may be wrong but it looks as though they aren't using the High Altar under the baldachino but one in front of it, roughly where the current fore altar sits. Any idea why, if I'm right?
Looks a bit like quarter past ten Mass at our place if you ask me.
