Blackfriars, Cruddas, Dominicans ...

.
What on earth is going on in the Order of Preachers?

And who is Francis Davis (other than a Magic Circle insider) to stir the, errr, pot so avidly here?

If there is any question about what life's going to be like if the powers-that-be feel threatened, then this story, and this man's posts about this story, might give an idea.

Prayers for Fr Pereira.

I read Francis Davis's piece on his blog titled 'About fFrancis daivis' and then I was violently sick on the spot.

Or, even Francis Davis - you can see the effect it had on me.

Mr Davis tells us that his blog "focuses on his work around [sic*] cohesion", which makes his racism all the more interesting.

* or sick!

Well spotted, Catholic Immigrant! "No Singaporeans" might have been the sign on the door

No, no. Just Singaporeans ought not to give advice to UK politicians just as clergy ought not to stick their or into politics without specialist advice

I can only say that the young Dominicans of my acquaintance seem to be a thoroughly orthodox lot and don't seem to be afraid of proclaiming the faith.

I note that Davis seems happy to employ a spot of casual racism/imperialism about Fr Pereira (i.e. his implication that a Singaporean, no matter how well educated, no matter how lon he has spent in the UK can't possibly understand British politics).

If being a Singaporean means that Fr Pereira is unable to understand the need for Catholics to compromise with the culture of death, then call me an honorary Singaporean: I'm at a loss to know why "Vichy-Catholicism" is morally preferable to standing up for what we believe in.

I'm also rather puzzled by his impassioned defence of John Cruddas: the man served in the worst government that I can remember in this country for life issues, unless he's willing to stand up and renounce his previous stances on equalities legislation, abortion etc he really isn't worthy of the time of day, much less a platform at Blackfriars.

My blood pressure is still dangerous- one thing about said blog is the case-carrying for cafod. Cafod's own website in the past had trumpeting about the objectively Satanic work which it is theoretically possible, afterall only the world's second language that they are unaware of funding not with their own personal money in SouthAmerica, minutes ago they have stuff on politcal intervention, no hold barred, in suport of the manmade global warming cabal: how many English parishioners are aware that their donations are sinful?
Perhaps coming from Singapore helps.

Let us pray that Mr Cruddas will rediscover and use his influence to promote the beautiful Catholic teachings on the sanctity of life and marriage and that Mr Davis will seriously examine his conscience.

I too have read Davis's blog.

If it were on paper, I could find a use for it.

Er... sorry!

Yep, you're quite right. Thank goodness Jesus and the Pope are both English.

PS Not sure abortion is political more life and death.
